2. Safety Management Systems

Integral to a "Best Practice" approach is utilising a systems based approach to Workplace Safety and this has been an original component of services provided by Kirwan & Associates over the past 20 years.

OCCUPATIONAL HAZARD MANAGEMENT is the technique developed by John Kirwan to enable organisations to implement a systems based approach to managing their exposure in relation to Workplace Safety.

The Occupational Hazard Management Program has a proven track record across a wide spread of Industry Sectors.

A key feature of the Occupational Hazard Management program is the fact that it can integrate into both Environmental & Quality Assurance to address the increasing trend towards an integrated approach to these areas.

3. Auditing / Inspections

These activities are important components of service provided and the firm has developed its own audit documentation to monitor conformances and non conformances.

Specific Inspection checklists have also been developed.

This component of our service has been developed to a high level.

Kirwan & Associates offer a variety of Audit/Inspection methods that can be applied with the ability to tailor these services to suit specific workplace needs.

4. Risk Assessment

In the course of our activities across Industry sectors and the various processes involved Kirwan & Associates have developed various methods of assessing the risk exposure that a customer may face - these vary in complexity depending upon the organisation who is receiving the services.

Effective assessment of risk exposure is important in the context of setting priorities for organisations who will generally have an operational budget.

5. Hazard Management

Having experience in a wide spread of Industry processes this firm has considerable experience and a high level of expertise in analysing workplace situations to achieve two outcomes:

The firm has developed a method of categorising hazards to ensure there is full awareness and understanding of the hazard management process.

6. Safetymap

Having worked with this product for over six years Kirwan & Associates are familiar with the requirements of SafetyMAP and can provide services related to the three certification levels.

The Occupational Hazard Management Program has been designed to ensure it is compatible with SafetyMAP criteria.

Product Available - Kirwan & Associates have developed an electronic version of SafetyMAP that can be used for single/multi sites to reduce paperwork and provide a more efficient method of monitoring SafetyMAP progress.

7. Workers Compensation

Services provided by Kirwan & Associates are aimed at prevention but where an accident does occur the firm can provide ongoing services to ensure that the Workers' Compensation claim is effectively managed.

Kirwan & Associates currently provides services to a number of self insurers in relation to management of their Workers' Compensation requirements - this outsourcing arrangement provides a cost effective approach.

Kirwan & Associates can provide services in relation to applications for self insurance under the Tasmanian Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

Kirwan & Associates offer a range of software products that will assist organisations in managing their information.
